Immanuel, God with us, invites us to stand in His place. He’s not angry. He is inviting! Jesus longs for us to rest with Him. And He promises a place of fullness. “He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me,” says Psalm 18:19.

May these paintings, these broad places, invite us to remember the delight, wonder, and freedom of standing in His merit instead of the dark, competitive, demanding place we try to create for ourselves. In faith, we stand in His merit.
